Welcome!
This website has been developed to introduce you to my personal and professional development as a teacher.
Built to be a professional portfolio, this site aims to provide a clear demonstration of my proficiency in teaching, and to allow for self-assessment and reflection on my capabilities and growth. I have chosen to create an eportfolio to allow for ongoing improvement and adaptability, higher personal ownership, and satisfaction. This site can be easily distributed, will provide me with a vital connection between theory, practice and professional growth, and will enable me to become familiar with website development, a useful skill to hold in a classroom.
The structure of this portfolio includes the background context of my teaching experiences, from both my university experiences and my diverse teaching roles since graduation, discusses my personal teaching philosophy and explores my growing capabilities as demonstrated against the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the Graduate to Proficient Level (with evidence). I also include reflections on my teaching experiences.
I hope you find my self-exploration interesting, and welcome your feedback by the email contact above.
Tim Harries
Qualified Primary and Secondary Teacher
Includes portfolio work for EDU292: Professional Internship, and portfolio work to demonstrate my growth to full teaching registration.
Please note: I have tried to ensure that no names or sensitive details are used in this work, and have included a list of references for resources used, however if you wish to make a comment on my work or have something removed please contact me by email.
